Amber Women’s Refuge GLG are delighted to present One Million Stars Ireland at the Irish Emigration Museum to celebrate Culture Night 2024. Visitors are invited to attend this special star weaving workshop in the Liffey Corner Room at the EPIC CHQ Building.

Learn to weave an eight point star that represents light, hope and solidarity against gender based violence and all violence, and tie your woven star to the LOVE star installation which forms part of the exhibition for the International Day of Peace. This exhibition follows on from previous year’s successful collaboration with many community groups who have woven thousands of eight pointed stars in solidarity. The exhibition uses art as activism to promote social change and will contain new emotive, reflective artworks from this year’s participants, who perceive war and conflict as a form of gender based violence.
