Cuan Saor Women’s Refuge & Support Services & Ascend Domestic Abuse Service are working together to progress the project in County Tipperary and are reaching out to communities across the county to gain support for the project. By coming together through star weaving, we can collectively take a stand towards ending violence in Ireland.   

Weaving stars has been colourful fun and inclusive, many community groups and schools took part, some of our participants had learning difficulties but everyone had a role.  We broke down the star weaving process from cutting and folding the ribbon through to completing the star.

All the participants attended Cuan Saor’s launch on International Women’s Day 2022 and showed great pride and commitment to the project and what it stands for.

Cuan Saor is a well-established domestic violence service based in Clonmel and providing a range of supports including refuge accommodation across Tipperary to women and children who have or are experiencing domestic violence.
